自九十年代末至新世纪初年，一段时间全球范围的相对危机之后，最近几年壁球运动又开始吸引人们逐渐增多的兴趣和关注。在越来越多的国家和地区，每年创办各种级别的新赛事。同时，国际大赛事也终于逐步提高奖金。高清晰度的摄像器材，DVD，网络视频，等等高技术手段，部分弥补了 -- 原来引起前期危机的因素之一 -- 电视报道长期的缺乏。再说，壁球在亚洲近期发展的势头也会客观的贡献于今后壁球全球范围的复兴。这不仅因为亚洲壁球老将国家印度和巴基斯坦正在恢复原来的地位，更加是随着马来西亚成功的经验，东亚几个国家和地区正在开拓新的市场和平台。其中，中国肯定属于潜力最大的例子之一。
After a phase of relative crisis in terms of popularity between the end of the nineties and the beginning of the new century, in the last years the interest around Squash is growing again. New tournaments of any level have been started in more and more countries, and finally also money prizes are increasing. High definition video cameras, DVD, internet stream video are partially compensating the chronic lack of TV coverage, which in our opinion had been one of the reasons of the previous phase of crisis. Last but not least, there is the material contribution made by the development of Squash in Asia, not only thank to the renaissance of Indian and Pakistani traditional schools, but even more with the opening of totally new markets in East Asia which are following the successful experience of Malaysia, among which China is probably one of the biggest potential for the next years.

Under this scenario, Squash related websites can play an important rule. There is also an issue with the lack of coverage on Squash by the traditional news media, which can be basically compensated by the flexibility and low investment of web news. At the same time, the efficiency and capillarity of the web helps a lot the formation of vivacious communities even if their members are divided by big geographic distances.
即便在壁球仍然处于初步发展阶段的中国，最近两年壁球相关的网站也正在迅速增多。除了国家和地方机构的官方网站以外，还有越来越多的俱乐部、健身与体育中心、论坛群体、从事与壁球有关各种业务的公司，以及狂热爱好壁球的个人已经跨入了互联网大门，创办了不同类型的壁球网站。
显然这是一件好事，因为能够使更多人了解到壁球，并吸引其中一部分人跨进场地，终于有机会亲自体会壁球的魅力。
尽管如此，一直让我们担心的是这些新网站所提供的技术信息和资料往往有不少质量问题。

Also in China, where Squash is still at its initial stage of development, in the last couple of years Squash websites are multiplying. Beside the official sites of national and regional Associations, there are the ones initiated by clubs, sport centers, forum communities, companies involved in Squash business and, last but not least, private passionate amateurs of the game.
Obviously this is very positive, because it can contribute to expose squash to much more people and luckily attract a part of them to the magic court.
But what has been provoking a certain concern among us was sometimes the poor quality of technical information and material you usually can find around all these new websites.

But what has been provoking a certain concern among us was sometimes the poor quality of technical information and material you usually can find around all these new websites.

但是，论坛区，由于本身的性质，往往充满着非专业人员的非专业意见。在那些只有深厚的技术知识和资深经验的领域才能保证传播可靠的、高质量的信息方面，恐怕论坛区无法满足深度大一些的知识需求。
Forums are wonderful for exchanging local info, finding training partners and opponents, making friends and creating a vivacious atmosphere around the activities of a local Squash community. But forums, because their nature, are usually full of any kind of not professional opinions, also on technical issues, where competences and expertise are the only guarantees to reliability and quality.
At the same time official bodies websites are more focused on institutional communication and news, while clubs and companies dedicate their limited resources to their activities and interests. At least at present, no one of the websites we have been watching in China seems to be willing or prepared to provide more technical articles and materials, with higher level of contents and deeper analysis of the issues.

If you want to chat, make friends or find the opponent for your next weekend match, you can visit one of the several vivacious forums which have opened in all the major cities with Squash courts around China. If you need domestic information on tournaments, events and institutional activities, the official sites of China Squash Association, Hong Kong Squash Association and some local websites can help you to keep decently updated.
But if you hope to find articles in deep, quality technical information and reliable materials, especially if you want to read it in Chinese, at present probably Squash Corner is the only site to visit.

With our limited resources we cannot provide updated news, neither we think it could be useful to add to the internet another chat space or forum.
The mission we will try to accomplish is to provide, even if few, small and limited, good quality articles and reliable materials.
To reach this challenging goal, besides devoting the expertise we own internally, we will invite authoritative experts and personalities of Squash from the whole world to write articles, compile material, release interviews, and more in general join our dream of creating a more scientific platform for Squash study and dialogue in China.
